北美精算师协会(Society of Actuaries, 简称SOA)是国际上非常具有代表性和权威性,规模较大、拥有较多会员精算师的组织,创办于1889年。

目前拥有会员约30,000名,SOA在中国的会员约有830人。中国大陆会员主要集中在北京、上海和深圳。SOA是全球性的精算教育和研究机构,已经发展为世界上专业的精算师协会,为全球提供优秀的精算师,并授予资格证书。

考试介绍

北美精算师协会（SOA）是一个以服务于公众和学会会员为目标而建立的教育、研究和专业性组织。作为一个国际性的精算教育和研究机构，SOA的主要任务是提供人寿保险、健康保险、员工福利和养老金领域的精算教育计划，以后续教育的方式提高精算师的咨询和解决涉及不确定事件的金融、保险、财务及社会问题的能力。

SOA自1987年起与我国南开大学合作设立了精算教育培训项目，并于1992年在南开设立考试中心。目前，国内主要城市都有考点：北京、上海、广州、深圳、成都、南京、长沙、武汉、沈阳等。

报名条件

北美精算师考试报名没有学历专业要求，一般对数学、精算、经济、金融、统计等感兴趣的在读生，毕业生都可以报考。

但是学习北美精算师时，会享受专业优势的影响，数学、精算、经济、金融、统计等专业的小伙伴学起来相对其他系会比较轻松一点。

报名考试时间

通常所说的考试为初级考试（preliminary examinations）部分，北美精算师初级考试每年各科目考试次数及报名时间都不相同。考试时间由北美精算师协会确定，考卷由北美精算师协会提供。

考试科目

准精算师ASA

SOA要求完成七门初级考试（Exam P, FM, IFM,SRM,STAM, PA, LTAM, ）、三门由北美精算师协会认可的大学课程（VEE）、一门网上教学课程（FAP）并参加一个为期半天的研讨会（APC），才能获得准会员资格，也即我们说的准精算师资格。

三门VEE认证课程

VEE 课程（validated by educational experience）

▪ 经济学 （VEE Economics）；

▪ 会计金融 （VEE Accounting and Finance）；

▪ 数理统计 （VEE Mathematical Statistics）。

VEE （validation by educational experience）课程是获得北美精算师资格所必需要拿到的辅助学分，是ASA必修课程。

在申请认证之前，考生必须通过两门基础考试，并且两门考试的成绩单已显示在SOA个人主页的成绩单上。VEE认证课程需要在SOA官方认可机构或高校中，选修指定的课程，并获得B-以上的成绩。

FAP网上学习课程

第一个考试涵盖第1到第5个模块的内容，第二个考试涵盖第6到8个模块的内容，两次考试均是在线完成。

▪Module 4: solutions to selected actuarial problems；
